Beacon: AI SEO & URL Indexer (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle your data when you use our macOS application.
1. No Data Collection
We do not collect, store, or share any personal data, usage statistics, or analytics on our servers. The App functions entirely locally on your device.
2. API Credentials
To function, Beacon requires API credentials (JSON keys) for Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
- Storage: These keys are stored securely on your local Mac hard drive.
- Transmission: These keys are sent only to the respective official APIs (Google and Microsoft) to authenticate your requests. We (the developers) never have access to your keys.
3. Third-Party Services
Beacon interacts directly with the following third-party services on your behalf:
- Google Indexing API: Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Bing Webmaster Tools API: Subject to Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.
We encourage you to review their privacy policies to understand how they handle data sent to them (such as the URLs you submit for indexing).
4. Subscription Data
If you purchase a “Beacon Pro” subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple via the Mac App Store. We do not process or store your credit card information. Apple may provide us with anonymous status updates (e.g., “Active Subscription”) to unlock features in the app.
